Vision
Our aim is to increase participation in physical activity, improve the quality of outdoor education and provide children with regular outdoor activities. To use our outdoor classroom to promote outdoor learning and physical work and health eating. To reduce barriers to PE by promoting activity outside of traditional mainstream lessons. To use physical activity to reduce sensory overload by providing equipment and advice via occupational therapy.

- Give students access to physical activity outside of the classroom.
- To access outdoor learning space in a physical way.
- Achieved School Games Gold Award.

- Improve swimming attainment for Year 6 pupils.

Impact of Spending
Quality of Teaching
- 100% of teachers received professional development support.
- Staff confidence survey increased from 65% to 92%.
- Lesson observations showed improved progression and challenge.
Participation
- All students have benefited from outdoor activities weekly
- Pod activities for all students weekly
- All students have enjoyed using the PE equipment and sensory equipment
- Dodgeball was a particular success for this group. increasing competition in a discreet fun way
- 2 Student engaged with boxing coaching, this was less successful with some students in this group.
Competition
- Students lack confidence but have increasing opportunity to enjoy competition discreetly and are developing resilience about winning an losing
Physical Activity
- Students are more active due to the numerous opportunities. They come with pre conceived ideas around traditional PE in school and this spend is allowing barriers to be removed gently
Sustainability
To ensure long-term impact:
- Teachers have received training that will continue beyond this funding year.
- Equipment purchased will support future cohorts.
- Purchase outdoor games to increase activity at breaks and lunch
- Employ staff to develop the outdoor classroom use
Priorities for 2026 - 2027
- Further develop active learning across the curriculum.
- Increase opportunities for girls' sport and leadership.
- Improve swimming outcomes to above 90%.
- Expand links with local sports clubs.
