School Meals

At Hartlepool Free School, we understand that mealtimes are about much more than food. They provide an important opportunity for our pupils to feel safe, supported and included, while developing positive relationships with food and with others.

We are committed to providing healthy, nutritious and enjoyable meals in a calm and welcoming environment. We recognise that every pupil is an individual, with their own needs, preferences and experiences, and we work hard to ensure that mealtimes are positive and accessible for everyone.

Our approach supports pupils to develop independence, confidence and healthy habits, while ensuring that appropriate support is available when needed. We believe that a positive experience at lunchtime can make an important contribution to our pupils' wellbeing, readiness to learn and overall school experience.

Dietary Requirements

If your child has specific dietary requirements or allergies, please inform us so we can accommodate their needs. We adhere to the guidance on School Food Standards and are dedicated to ensuring that pupils are not exposed to allergens.

Packed Lunches

Pupils are welcome to bring their own packed lunches to school. We encourage healthy choices to support their wellbeing.
